GSR's on liability or full?
i'm movin to the city this fall so i don't think i'll drive the car that mch...thinkin maybe switchin to liablity only...but that would suck to have it stolen w/ only liability....are most of you guys on liability or full coverage?
it reallt depends on how old the car is and what its worth
i have a 91 ls and of course i have liability cuz the car is not worth anything
full coverage would cost more than the car is worth
i would say with a gsr you should get full coverage

Get full coverage. GSR's are stolen quite often. Unless you have a garage and you don't park it in a common theft area then maybe i'd say drop down to liability. But I wouldn't take a chance.
I've got full coverage and i've got a garage/security guard at the top of the hill. Just for my own peace of mine and satisfaction.
Plus what are you going to do if you get in an accident?

I say its more on how much you car is worth, i think 5 k is the threshold for full coverage. If it books for 5k or more I would get full coverage. I live in NJ and I work in Newark, the car theft capital of the world, Full coverage on a gsr (im 23 no points no accidents) would have cost me 4800 a year. I said **** that, not worth it. SO i bought a 97 rs for 5500 and just have liability. I cross my fingers when i occasionaly drive to work. NJ Insurance is atrocious.
Take the "collision" off of your full coverage, thats the expensive part. Keep the "comprehensive", which covers theft, vandalism. I took the collision coverage off my 94 GSR and my rate went down 30%. If you don't drive it that much you don't really need to worry about wrecking the car. Make sure you have uninsured motorist coverage though.
also, if you have lo-jack, or possiblly other tracking systems, insurance companies may require you to have the full coverage if you want that discount.
-aoib0t, who heard about that yesterday.

Always full coverage. Don't even think about liablility. You'll get screwed fast than Britney Spears on exstacy (sp)..... I know, I'm not sure if thats spelled right.
More important than the make, you need to factor in how much the car is worth. We already know Gsr's are more of a target and ITr's are more of a target than Gsr's.
With that being said how much is the car worth? Are you still making payments on it? and how much.
Lets say I owned a 95 gsr and still owed 5k on it, I would be dumb to get liability because well you run the risk of being left with no car(stolen) or accident (wrecked car) that you still owe $$ on.
It's pretty much common sense, if your car is worth a descent amount of change get Full coverage.
I just got a beater for $1800 so im just going to pur liability on it. Like the other guy said Full coverage in a year would almost pay for the car

If it's a gsr I would get full coverage, or as someone mentioned just get liability and comprehensive and drop the collision. I have a 92 GS, I only paid $2500 for it so I just get liability only, it's $40 a month.
