Default ZC

hey
I'm probably getting a 88 crx SI soon and it already has a ZC engine in it, but no wiring harness. what one do I need? can I get it at a junkyard?

Thanks, Eric

What do you mean by problems or troubles. If you would like to avoid problems i would chang out your normal wear items such as: timing belt, water pump, plugs, wires, etc, you get the idea. to find part numbers and such http://www.thezcr.com/html/partnums.php.

For that help i accept hand jobs or potato chips (sour cream) for payment.

You need the engine harness out of the same year crx si. You might be able to use the 89 crx si. Also you need to move the 2 white wires on the distributor plug(7 wire plug) to the No.1 cyl sensor on the exhaust cam side of the zc (if its the dohc zc).

Yes. The overseas cars have different engine mounting points.

Stock Si harness and 2 wires from the dizzy moved to the Cam Angle sensor on the exhaust cam passenger side of the motor is all you need. And remember, your stock Si AC should bolt right up great little thang that ZC. My DOHC ZC pulls sick like and being non-VTec sure puts a puzzling look on peoples faces when I explain its a DOHC 1.6 non-VTec. Also, make sure to use either of these three ecu's decending in order of preference by most: 1. Stock ZC ecu <~ Rare, 2. 88-89 UDSM Integra 5spd <~ Better Fuel curves, 3. Stock Si ECU. - Darrell

Its decent for the money. I love it. My boyfriend has it in his. We were riding the other night after they "tweaked" it and he was doing 85mph in 3rd gear on a PM6 ECU.

I had a b18b that I was going to do, but I sold it here on Honda-tech because I had lost my job. Now I may go with a d-series vtec engine or the DOHC ZC.

It depends on the price. In my state, they are popular among the Honda scene, and go for anwhere from $200-2500 w/swaps, but other places can go as high as $4000 for any SI w/swaps.
