No the ZC is not the USDM Crx si engine. Do a search in the EF/CRX forum.

Well a ZC is a 88+ d-series engine from jdm land. You can get obd0/1/2 versions, both in dohc and sohc.

i take it we are speaking of the original ZC , being the DOHC blacktop with 130ps , etc etc.

This variant - came in older JDM tegs yes , through to the EF8 crx and others , - to ( the EG5 si in Oz and europe too) finally finishing with a limited edition EG5 Si in Japan. (came with optional LSD i have been told) .

Good lil engine. A stock one currently powers my " EK beater"

Actually the the engine code is d16a1...The d16a6 is from the 88-91 USDM Civic/CRX Si. The d16a8/a9 is the EDM version of the J-Spec ZC.

As for the specs, the SOHC ZC VTEC is the jdm version of our d16z6 out of the 92-95 Civic EX / Si and 94-95 Del Sol Si. I don't know where that 140hp crap came from. It's 125hp. Pretty much the only difference is the block is stamped ZC instead of D16Z6.
