Track racing: Integra R vs. S2000
Hey guys! My boy and I, both skilled drivers usually run low to mid 14's in the 1/4 mile. We are gonna have some fun and take our rides out for track racing, 20 laps at firebird for the first time. So what do you think the type R or S2000 (both 2001)? Also any track tips would be sweet.
vs.
vs.
the stook wins by a small margin.
Results: the stook was 2.xx seconds faster than the ITR at Tsukuba, and more than 4 seconds faster than the ITR at Ebisu. It was also a couple of seconds faster than the ITR on Spoon's downhill test track. On a gymkana course, the stook was dominating...
**Just watched the videos to reconfirm, and made the appropriate changes** Gansan was piloting the S2K in all but one "battle," Hattori was driving the ITR when it had its fastet time of 1:11:xx and the battle at Ebisu was in the rain.

The skill levels of the driver on Best motoring are pretty different. "Gan-san" (the old guy (real name Kurosawa) is the most exerienced. His son, Takuya Kurosawa is not so great. Naoki Hattori (whom I met on a few occasions) is a good driver only if he's in a honda, and Tsuchiya is pretty good...(about as good as Hattori)
If it's with a group which (like many) doesn't allow open-top cars to participate in its track events, then the S2000 will DNF and the ITR will win.

From the info I have gathered, the S2K has troubles passing ITR's on a track. The reason was they have very little torque over the ITR. All in all I think the S2K would be faster, but the ITR is a better suited car for the track. I think it will be very close, keep us posted.
QuestS2000, hey, it's Chris man, we met Thanksgivng night on the ASU campus; I had the PY ITR.
Did you guys go to the NASA event; are you going to the next one? Hope to see you guys there!

S2000 vs. TYPE-R....where's Shane and Bryan! They have been known for some close racing along Summit Point! They can best explain their thoughts on what does what. I on the other hand, have had to allow a pass by to Shane (S2000) a couple times to allow him to continue his hot laps and great track times!!

What's up bro? We didn't make it to firebird on saturday but hope to be running the next event or at least one of us to get some general feels and be able to give advice on the turns. We went to the show at rio today, some sweet cars but a bit too many trucks and all show no go cars. There was a sweet integra with a mugen kit on it, and of course intense had the sweetest rides out there...lol peace
Is Gan-san that dude who had the flu when he raced in an RX-7 at Tsukuba against afew gtr's, nsx's and evo's? That guy is darn good, or maybe it was just the car
Which ones the son? Was he in that race, if so, which car did he drive.
