another tein height adjust question.
im setting up the teins for like the third time, this time im doing it off of the car. heres my suspension setup
Tein type flex coilovers
17 inch rims
40 series tires
Im wondering what teins recommending setting will give me? im looking for a one finger gap throughout the car, with medium ride comfort. i think i set it too stiff considering every time i hit a small bump the damned car would feel like i hit a pothole.
any help, experience, guidlines would help.
if you have these coilovers, and the sized rims, pleasepleaseplease share with me your measurements on the coilover. thanks

your rim and tire size compensates for itself........I mean if you have a 14 inch rim the tire size would be 60 or 65 height.....15 inch rim-50 series tire......16 inch rim-45 series tire.......17inch rim-40 series tire
so your 17 inch rim with 40 series shouldn't make a difference in the ride height.
That said, I go by thread count on the shock itself when adjusting it. I have a 15 thread count on the rears (gives me a one finger gap) and a 11-12 thread count on the front which gives me a tight 2 finger gap.........I have it set up this way cause it feels right, looks even fromt he side profile, and keeps my front from scraping on common things. (by the way my finger gap might be different than your finger gap cause I have skinny fingers kinda)....so I use the thread count from bottom of strut to top with locking ring in place.
as for the firmness, I use 5 clicks from full firm in back and 7 or 8 clicks from full firm in front......I don't find the ride to be harsh at all, and I've had some harsh rides in the past.
I had to take my wheels off and adjust a few times as well; you get use to it after a while, and it becomes fun dialing in that perfect height after a while.....kinda
I'm looking forward to taking it to a place that has corner weights so I can really dial it in
