I've seen everyone's project threds latly so i thought i'd make one too
Heres the car before i bought it:

It's a 90 CRX HF i got few months back and i've been slowly working on it to get it running again. I payed $750 for it and it has no rust (very hard to come by in MI) and it had what we thought was a spun rod bearing. Turns out that one of the rods droped it's lower cap into the pan with 517miles on the new motor in the car:

The booty kit and projectors sucked so i sold them, here's the car when i first towed it home (kit was sold localy about 1.5hrs after i bought the car):

Now i've been working my *** off and i finally got the motor pulled yesterday and i decded to snap some pics off:

My Neuspeed/Tokico suspetion setup:

Now this car has 93 GSR wheels (uber rare) and i'm trying to figure out what color to paint them they came gunmetal but i'm thinking bronze. Heres a pic of one gunmetal and one stripped down to the bare metal:

I'll keep this thred updated on how my project comes along, wish me luck that i get it back together soon

Sweeet I love these threads cuz after all most of us have project cars
Not sure how bronze would look with that red but maybe you'll paint the thing. Any plans besides getting it running?

4-2-1 2peice headers wraped in header wrap. I'm not super confident in my block building yet so i'm just buying one put together and i'll sell the head

I'm gonna run the neuspeed/tokico's untill the struts blow out then i'll probally get Omni Power or Tein coilovers

They aren't too rare, but they look good if done right. </TD></TR></TABLE>didnt know that, i was just guessing they were rare because of how few 92-93 GSRs were made

Black would look nice, have black rims on a silver GTI and they look good... humm i'll consider it

UPDATE!!!
Got my block back from my friend Larry who does all my machining (honed block and checked to make sure deck was level) and he also helped my press 2 of my pistons off the bad rods onto different ones (out of my spare A6 block). Heres what i got done today:
Here's the block as it sits now... where's piston #3 you ask...

...here on my floor, the piston pin is binding so i'll press a new one in on monday at Larry's

UPDATE!!!
Well the car is finally coming to a close. The motor is finished and all i need to do now is wait for my flakens to come in and press in my ARP Wheel Studs (doing that tomarrow, if i remember i'll do a writeup). Anyway here's some pics:
Top part of the block with the ARP Head Studs installed:

The bottem end put together with king bearings and all new seals/etc:

The "Flatrate" NOTEC head i'm using untill my Z6 head is done

The block finished and ready to meet the CRX very soon!:

Oil pan with a JDM heat sheild (my friend brought it back from japan):

EXTRA PICS!
My GSR rims found a new home on Gareth's civic, i'm going to use the wheels you see on the red civic in the backround:

And for you R lovers, Stealth 95 GS-R's and Tony's (dont remember his H-T name) cars, click the pic for full quality (yes the one car is orange)
