what cam for A6/ZC
which cam is should I get for my Sohc ZC?
I was looking at delta 260 or 272, and sr909 from exospeed...
btw I am going to go turbo/sc pretty soon, are these good with forced induction?

If you are going turbo the stock cam might be better for driveability. A cam with bigger intake and exhaust lift might make the intake and exhaust timing overlap.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.
i was running a crane stage 3 when i had a turbo d15...it def helps in the daily driving department(a lot more low/mid range torque) and i got the car down to 13.1s with it. i ran a delta with turbo and all i can say is...its a lot slower than the stock cam was...

DELTA 272!!!!!!!
It ******* rocks. Ive got her in my stock A6. I used to have a bunch of comparisn charts for this cam along with the sr909 and the zex cam.
This cam by far (about 4-6whp across the band) blew both away. From 4400+ it pulled away.
I then researched buying one. CHEAP! Amazing power without the high price.
I guess its because they arent an established company or whatever but there **** kicks ***, they give you a few bucks for your stocker as well, covers shipping.
Ill see if I can find the charts

the crane goes for around 330. im not sure what the delta was...i doubt the delta would be good for turbo though...the crane is made specifically for turbo.

couple of questions for you, where does the powerband come on? did it feel like you lost any low end power (not that there was much there anyway)? and are there any valvetrain mods required to run that specific cam?

They said it required no mods but they did say that most stage 2 or similar and up cams were putting a good deal of strain on the factory springs.
My head is pretty build up though, Dual Titanium springs, ferrera retainers, 1mm oversized titanium valves, delta 272, 3 angle valve job, port n polished, milled .040 for compression
$115 for the cam from a ht member
I couldnt tell you when the power starts just from the cam because everything was done at the same time. AND ITS AMAZING!
Soon to be mated with 11.5:1 compression pistons and forged rods and some nitrous.
