Default Piston Brand : ITM ?

I needed some pistons for my motor that i was building and the machine shop that was working on my head ask me if i wanted the stock specs one. So the shop ordered it and when they arrived, they were not Honda pistons, but from a brand called ITM. Does anyone know the quality on these cast iron pistons compared to OEM Honda pistons? He says he use these pistons on stock spec motors but he doesn't know anything else. I am very very doubtful if these pistons can do the job for this motor.
___
pistons are 1st gen d16a1 (slightly dome)
they are going into a d16a6block with a d16z6 head
compression is going to be pretty high with these pistons, about 11.4:1 to 11.6:1.

Any idea or experience with ITM pistons are greatly appreciated.

I have used ITM pistons for a few buildups, one of them including D16A1 into a D16Z6.

Pistons were identical to OEM in everyway....stamped P29, same weight, cast well, and never had any problems.

It's just a company which makes OE components for standard engine rebuilds. I used to use all ITM gaskets also- brother worked at machine shop and I got great deals. But now I get hooked up at Honda

Hi Br1an. I am trying to find pistons for my d15b2 and I'm facing some dificulties. I found your post and I'd like to know your considerations regarding ITM pistons. Is this brand reliable? Do you know another good brand? I have found only ITM, Aftermarkets and Diamond Power. Thanks in advance.

Brian hasn't visited the site in almost 13 years.

Are you looking for just stock replacements? If so, just google "D15B2 pistons" and several places come up selling stock-replacement cast pistons. I wouldn't sweat the brand too much...they're pretty much all equivalent.
