Default TPS trouble

my car is "bucking" and not running smoothly, we replaced the broken tps withand 88 4dr one, but it still doesnt run right. i need help!!!

its located on the Throttle body, cant take it off unless you cut a slot in the screws, so honda wants like $400 for the whole throttle body, but i just need the TPS. it has to be for my car tho, i tried one off a 88 civic 4dr and it didnt work.
looks like this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting

let me know what you have if youve got one PLEASE!

You just slot the screws and take it off.

Put the new one on and align it so it reads .45 closed and 5.45 open

I think the DX one will not work.

Try another from any MPFI honda. D or B series.

If I remember correctly, you have to position it in the right spot by turning it one way or the other, while using a volt meter to measure the voltage. .45 with engine off/ket on and 5.00-5.5 at WOT. I'm sure someone here can be more specific than myself though.

Well, I think there is a difference between the MPFI and the DPFI TPS; during the MPFI-swap, you have to switch the wires connecting it or the ecu will think it is at WOT when closed and vice versa so try getting one of the SI and see if that solves the problem.

im having trouble with mine too.

If i put the key in the II position, put the negative leed on the the voltmeter to the Tranny ground and put the postive leed into the red wire on the TPS, i get no voltages.

Am i doing this correct

ive tried 3 sensores, dpfi, b18a and an Si one
