So I ending up buying one of those cheap CSF radiatorbarn.com radiators cus the infamous plastic tank leakin. About a year later i was pissed to see it leaking from what appeared to be the lower tank.
Radiatorbarn seemed nice and asked me to send it in to inspect it to see if it meets their warranty limitations.
Worried that it was my old headgasket that caused it and also the impatience of waiting for a new one, i took it to a rad shop by me. The guy tested it and eventually came to the conclusion that it had high pressure area leaks because of either a headgasket, bad thermostat or bad fan.
In about ten mins it he did what appeared to be soldering on the tank and it WORKED! He didnt charge me but said i ought to take care of whatever was causing the extreme pressure.
So if you got a leaking rad check those three things.
PS Anybody know what exactly he used to fix the radiator. Is it just plumbing solder? I shoulda asked damnit
