static/cracking noise from speakers
I have Rockford Fosgate 6x9's in the rear of my 97 Civic HX and everyonce in a while they will start to get static and put out a crackling noise so the only thing that i can do is turn off my deck. It still does it when i set my deck to just put out to the fronts. Does anybody know what could be causing this?
TIA

Are the rears running off an amp? is it only on the rears? and is the "crackling" as loud when you fade to the front speakers?

I would say that you have a problem with the amp, try this, next time it happens, give the amp 1 or 2 good thumps with your fist,[side of fist
] and if "crackling"
cuts in and out, its the amp, also wiggle the RCAs, same thing. 94
