Default K24 in a RSX?

My friend wants to get a K24 motor from a CRV and drop it into his base RSX Auto. Will this be a direct swap if we keep the K24 head and the auto rsx tranny? Is the base rsx head the same as the k24 head? Will the auto rsx tranny and the stock rsx ecu work with the k24 without having any problems?

would the stock rsx ecu work with the k24 just not at full potential or is it that the car wont even run.

You'll eventually want a Hondata K-pro made from the base RSX ECU and tune it. Keep the CRV head and use the RSX cams. Not sure but you may want the RSX valve springs if they're different.
