Why, they are almost if not just as fast, cheaper, and pay 400$ for a win.. I just wish they had them in 225/45/15

I'm told that 195/55/14, 205/55/14, and 225/50/14 are all on the list of future sizes. I forget which ones are the higher priority, however.

a quick comparison to the Hoosiers as far as construction....Kumho added polyester to their tire with the steel belts......Hoosier uses nylon with steel belts in their tire....Kumho sidewall is softer and a little more pliable, similar to a ultra high performance street tire.......Hoosiers are stiffer, no flex.......this is just my visual inspection today as I look at them side by side.......no negative opinion either way ......just some facts

Okay, here is what I got in my e-mail back in February. Obviously the whole recall may have changed things drastically, but I'd assume the list is fairly accurate.

Also the number in (#), is the top 10 priority tires for production that are still in development. So (1) will get built first (2) will be built second and so on. Tires without a number are already built and released.

Keep in mind too, that these tires are WIDE. Example - the V710 205/50/15 is actually a little wider than the V700 225/50/15. So all the Miata people will want to run the 205 instead of the 225.
Also these tires, like most, DO NOT like to have the sidewalls pulled in. So make sure the tires fits the wheel or the wheel is wide enough for the tire you choose.
Finally if anyone wants - I have the production sheets for the V700 and Victoracer if you want to see whats available.

Nice to see that 225 or 235 13's weren't even being proposed...
Christian, who thinks that a really wide 235 would be way cooler than a REALLY wide 215
PS
Thanks for the info though!

The 215 is/was actually a good size I thought. Not too wide to scrub speed, but still wide enough for a good contact patch. If the new tire proves to be worth its salt, I'll be all over the 215's next year.

We going to keep ours for spares ... just wish they came in a 225/455/15 though. The first batch was quick though ... Pete set the HC record at CMP & I was actually in Front of Franza for once

Ditto!
Now, with them being a WIDE 215, would they be better with 7" or 8" wheels?
