It was a good weekend, albeit hot as a mother F%$#*er. Jeremy got his first two Novice races over with, and Colin was upgraded for the Monday race. They both drove well, and Colin's new "east coast" car is a rocket ship. I'm sure Rick will have more to say about that. We'll have video posted soon.

I might swing by after work, but I'm in the middle of moving into a new place so I'm a bit short on cash for the next month or so. You gonna be there?

Haven't autocrossed in ... months.

 

Look for Camp Canada. There'll be about 20 of us there (that we know of).

Haha, funny you should mention that. It did rain on Sunday, in the desert of all places. That's it, I'm cursed. At this rate, I'm gonna make all the NorCal boyz spend money on wets if they know I'm coming.

Reg put on a clinic last weekend and I think Keith finished ahead of Rick for both races. I qualified 3rd and finished 4th (5 in class). I pussed out on the start going into T1 and let the world go by. Bill Murray and I traded positions back and forth a few times during the race, but I managed to make a pass stick on the last lap a few corners before the checker.

Keith went off and took some gravel in his timing belt, but nobody else in our camp had any major issues.

We've running a motor that has been a little flat lately so we have order a proper bullet to chamber.

Hey, give me a bit of credit. We split each day, 2nd and 3rd. Keith got his 2nd during the double points race, though. He now leads me by 4 points in ITA with 7 down and 5 to go.

I think Greg won EP on Sunday but didn't stick around for Monday. I didn't run Prod this weekend as Patrick got furlowed from the winery long enough to run a couple of races.
Reg won FP and ITA each day, followed by Keith on Sunday and Patrick on Monday. Keith lost his clutch right at the end of Mondays race after a great race battle with Patrick.
GP was won both days by Dave Karraker in his 2002.

Colin's new ride is an absolute screamer. He drove quite well and was upgraded from Novice to Area Driver which allowed him to run with the Senior Drivers on Monday. He placed himself between Keith and me for 3rd in ITA, got caught out on the start but made his way back up to the top 3 when he went rookie in a braking zone. We'll definitely have to keep an eye on him.
