Default Need help with door buzzer on 89 CRX Si:

Hey guys, never posted in the CRX forum before, but now I need help. My girlfriend's 89 Si's door buzzer has started staying on the entire time she's driving. The problem seems to be intermittent and the beep is in time with the passenger side seatbelt light flashing on and off.

Is there anything I can do to stop the beeping? It's getting REALLY annoying! I've checked the door and the seatbelt latch and found nothing. Is there a fuse I can yank?

ANY help will be GREATLY appreciated by both myself and my girlfriend.

Thanks guys!

If you really get pissed at it you can disconnect the buzzer itself.

Are the seatbelts door mounted? If you push on the door from the outside, Does it go away? I just took off the door panel and disconnected the plug that goes to the door light on both of my cars that did that. I couldn't stand it anymore and I couldn't find the beeper thingy. They were both 90 civics though.

Its most likely the switch in the door. I'd replace it install of ghetto rigging it. I like my overhead light to work when I open the door.

Also if you have an alarm the switch is important too.

its a very small speaker around the fuse box. open the door follow the noise. pull it out.

The dome light operates off the switch on the body, not the one that goes to the latch inside the door. But you are right, pulling the speaker sounds easiest if you don't mind the door/seatbelt light coming on once in a while.
