why is my tach off???
I have noticed now for awhile that the tach is about 100-130 rpm's off from the Apexi VAFC. I hit the rev limiter today on purpose and the VAFC showed 8048 as the max. rpm, but the tach needle went to almost 8200 rpm. Is my tach messed up? How do I fix it so it will match the VAFC?
Where's the fuel cutoff? I tought it was 8150 rpm.

Are you referring to the stock tach? then yes, it will be off, thats just how the stock one is, one of the reasons why some people get aftermarket tachs.
Another reason why I can rev almost to 9K rpm according to my stock tach.

so the stock tach is 100-130 rpm's off? why is that? so where is the rev limiter? 8150 rpm??? if it is 8150 rpm, is it according to the stock tach? my VAFC showed the rev limiter at 8048 rpm.
Stock tachs are off...thats just how they are. My tach is actually "slower" then my S-AFC....like the tach will say 6500..and the S-AFC will say 6700.
As for the redline...you cant just hit the rev limiter and look at the peak hold value of the AFC...when you hit the revlimiter like that it doesnt record the peak accurately.
For example...on my stock LS ECU...if I hit the revlimiter it would record a peak value of ~7040 RPMs...but if I took the RPMs up..and shifted at the perfect time..I could record as high as 7190 RPMs...kinda weird.
