Default question for those with fluidyne radiator

im getting ready to put my new fluidyne radiator in my 01 teg tomarrow and i would like to know how many jugs of antifreeze i need to pick up from honda? im guessing 2 since its a larger radiator. any help would be appreciated. thanks

Two. You should have a some left over from the second one.

However, you could get away with getting just one and use distilled water for the little bit that you will need from the 2nd gallon.

The Honda Type II coolant stuff is damn expensive...around $10 a gallon. The Type I stuff cost about the same for the same volume and didn't come prediluted, but they no longer offer Type I....much to my chagrin since I liked mixing my own coolant/anti-freeze.

2 should be fine. Fluidyne is the best there is! I have one as well...

Don't forget the Redline Watter Wetter ! ! ! !

And you don't need to buy Honda coolant, as long as you're sure to buy something from the parts store that is good quality and phosphate free (that's important). I usually use Prestone (it's orange, not green). Just to be sure, you do have a slim fan to replace the one that will no longer clear, right?
