Default Tein Coilover

Hi everyone.I have a question in my mind for a long time.Does the Tein Suspension really worth that much money? Why are they so popular now?coz i heard somebody told me that Tein is just a piece of crap, they are so bumpy and not good at all.I just did some research online,a set of neuspeed sping+tokico shocks is only like $300-$400.it is a lot cheaper than the Tein kit.So whats the point to go for that? What do you guys think? Please tell me if i am wrong.

tein is sometimes worth the money. they are popular because they are gaydm. tein is a piece of crap if you don't like "bumpy". if you're not into suspension and just want to lower your car. get whatever you want. the point of going for tein is their adjustability and proper dampening. not because you want to slam j00r caR foe teh winz

the SS give decent comfort for just driving around town.

but for autox or track they're not where it's at, because it's a street suspension. people (me) expect a setup like that to do things it's not designed for and are unhappy with it, especially the price tag.

oh and i have a set for sale

why don't you just get koni yellow shocks + stock springs? the perches where the springs sit on can lower or raise, so it'll drop your car about 1.5/1" F/R enough for a mild drop, or raise but whoever raises their civics?

some race classes have strict rules and only allow you to change the shocks. and with koni yellows you can stiffen the valving in less than 2-3 seconds just by turning the shock adjuster ontop of the shock in the engine bay, and in the trunk, instant track/road settings. thus making the ride as stiff as you want for track or as soft as you want for road use. i've had coil overs sleeves before on my car, and for me that was really an uncomfortable ride. but i'm telling you koni's yellows are the best thing you can put on your car along with the stock springs.

I've had a set of Tein Type Flex Control Masters on my EK for over a year now and I love them. Thats my personal view on them and I got mine for $1,000. There are always better setups with better prices but I had to try Teins. I think my next setup will be Apexi N2 suspension setup or the Buddy Club Racing Spec setup. But we'll see.

the retail on flex isn't it like 1200 or so, or isn't that wha they go for most of the time??

for that you could get GC any spring rate you want and yellows and TOP mounts and if you want you could even get pillow ball mount from GC.

it boggels my mind that people spend money on ****. the tein springs are HORRIBLE the damper is decent nothing to rave about.

TEin Flex w/ EDFC. Comes complete with the pillowball mounts. Traded my Koni Yellows w/ GC coilovers. Ride is 1,000,000X better. I don't bounce over everything anymore. Feels like I'm driving a factory setup that handles good. Best after market setup after the Apexi N1's in my DC2. Adjusting dampening while you're driving cannot be beat. When some USDM suspension setup comes up with something comparable I'll consider it.
