b16 block, gsr head, what wiring harness?
i just put the gsr head on my b16a block and i was wondering what wiring harness do i use? do i get a gsr harness and ecu, b16a harness and ecu, or a 90 crx si harness and ecu? please help also i need the motor to pass smog. please help.
CRX harness, ecu depends on obd(get 0bd1 for smog). Get a b16 ecu(us spec from a del sol vtec p30), but you might get busted if you try and ref it, headswaps are illegal. Ryan
PS, this is the setup if you mean smog like smog legal.
My site may help too.

what will i get busted for? so the motor wont pass smog? or the ecu or what exactly would make it not able to pass a ref? and do i have to take it to a ref?
You dont have to take it to ref, but you may get a "test only station" on your 2 year testing, that would suck. It may pass tail pipe, just make it as clean as possible it may be ok.
As for it passing ref, it def wont pass with a gsr IM. They check wiring, block codes, Vac diagrams and more. A skunk2 intake manifold would be your best bet for the gsr head, the ref will spot a stock gsr intake mani right away.
Also for ref, make sure your obd1, and you are using that us spec ecu.
