How much is a warranty extension?
Well it looks like the guy I bought my ITR off of from Ebay is not ever going to respond to my e-mails, so I guess I'm screwed. Yeah, I could post a complaint or something like that but what good would that do, they can't make him sell it to me. ANYWAY, since I'm looking for other ITR's now, how much would it be to upgrade a 2000 with like 50,00 miles to a 100,000 mile warranty?
If you are talking about a factory warranty, the car has to be within its initial 4/50 warranty before you can buy the extended warranty. I got a quote of $900 for a zero deductible 7/100 from an Acura dealer on the web. Your local dealer will probably quote $1500 or so.
There are other aftermarket warranties available, but they often have lots of exclusions - they are not quite bumper-to-bumper.

NeedAnITR> Thanks. Do you guys think it a safe idea to to buy a 2000 with around 50,000 miles.
Safe, yes. Not a great idea though unless you bought it very cheaply (< $18k). Even then I would not do it. There are plenty low mileage 2000s around.
Adding a $1k for a warranty to the price of a used car to compensate for its high miles might not be a great idea. Why not find a low mileage one with an existing warranty? 2000 ITRs will have two years or so left on their initial warranty.

i'm sure the auction listed the VIN #...you could always have a lawyer track him down via his registration or title info...it's a binding contract for BOTH parties on ebay...i'd continue the procedure against him...
Make sure you leave him negative feedback too! HTH

Didn't you win this for like $18k or so? That happened to me on ebay, not for a car, but the seller was not happy with the ending price and ignored me. There is really not much you can do except leave a neg feedback.

Yeah, it is your car that I'm definately interested in. You're so close and the price is right. For those who didn't know http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...ndexURL=0&rd=1 is the car I bought. I emailed him 4 or 5 times and no response. I doubt he would be on this forum. So now I'm $hit out of luck I guess. My limit is around 19-20K so I was happy to find it. That's also why I'm now looking at Wingles's car.
Psssst. It's wingless.
When I bought my R, the fact the a transferrable (and partially extended warranty) was included made me more willing to pay the asking price, $20,500 for a '97 (2 years ago) with a brand new head.

How about I just subtract that $$ from the asking price?
Someone tell me now if Wingless' car is a POS
Matt
Just to correct something I posted earlier. The quote of $910 was for a 7/75 Acura Extended Warranty. I got this quote by emailing the folks at http://www.acuradriver.com, which I believe is a dealership in California. The 7/100 is probably a little more.
