Default Newbie here! 94 Integra LS.....need ideas.

Sup guys. New to this board since I just bought my 94 Integra on Friday. Love it already. Has a few things done already. Rota Circuit 8 in gunmetal, DC catback exhaust, and a short ram intake.

I need some ideas on some cheap and also expensive mods that are unique. I do however, love the JDM look. Already looking at some interior JDM pieces. Shift boot, arm rest, seats, and shift ****.

What lip kits are out there for my car? Don't want a extreme kit, just something subtle to keep the sleeper look going. JDM conversion will probably be in my future as well.

I want to get some engine ideas to make it a bit quicker too. Also, do I have a DC2? I just wanted to make sure. I know a DC5 is a RSX. I think. Gotta get this new lingo down. I use to have a 91 Corolla and post quite a bit on CorollaCustomz. Now I'm selling the Corolla to help pay off the TEG. Have lots of aspirations for the TEG, due to the fact that parts were so hard to find for the Corolla.

I want to do my suspension first though. Anyone heard of or have NEX damper coilover suspension? I saw them on EBAY, and they're a little cheaper than TIEN's. I know they won't be the same quality, but hopefully they'll work.

Congrats on the teg and welcome to H-T.

Never heard of nex coilovers, but you get what you pay for. You could always consider the standard spring and damper setup, as well as just the coilover sleeves, like skunk2 or something with an adjustable shock like tokico illuminas or kyb ajustables.

But your aspirations do seem to be in the right direction for this message board and lowering the car is definetly a good start.

Good luck

Congratulations on the buy and welcome to Honda Tech. As far as the speed part of your question you could do a motor swap depending on how many dollars you are willing to spend. If you dont want to swap motors intake, header, exhaust a skunk 2 intake manifold and some cams should suffice.

Looks like you got yourself a nice car there. Some JDM bling for your interior doesn't sound too bad just don't go to overboard. As for your DC2 question I believe that chassis code is only on GSRs and Type Rs someone correct me if I'm wrong. I also never heard of Nex coil overs, but if they are only a little bit cheaper than Tiens I say save up a little more and get the Tiens instead.

RS/LS/GS are all DC4s and GS-Rs and Type Rs are DC2s. Sounds like you are off to a great start. Why don't you paint your sideskirts to match your car, get a decent spring strut combo to keep cost down. I don't know about some of the JDM stuff like the armrest eliminator, I actually like my armrest for when I make long drives. You could do a 98 conversion, as far as I know it requires you to have the headlights, bumper, optional lip if desired, and some mounting pieces, not exactly sure someone please chime in and give the rest. Lowering would make the car look a whole lot nicer, I am in the same boat as you with the 4x4 look, god I wish I had the green for the coilovers. You could go with the Type R clone look, or find the OEM kit, which is very nice if you wanna keep it clean. Let us know what you want to do motor wise so we can better help you out. The best thing you could do that costs no money whatsoever is SEARCH. There are thousands of threads, with info, and best of all it's free.

I'm also part of the 4x4 club, don't be mad lets unite our 4x4 tegs!

Also for the 98+ conversion all you would need are the bumper it self, the headlights and the bumper lights, the rear bumper also can be swapped just with the rear bumper it self.

I was thinking about swapping in a V-tech head and going for the LS/Vtech. Saw the Skunk2 Intake Manifold and didn't know if it was really worth it. I'm thinking about buying some stuff for the suspension tonight. My Corolla handled on rails around corners. I am going to buy some Megan rear lower control arms and a 4pc bar set (F&R strut and sway bars). That should tide me over until I figure out what major mods are going on. I also want a carbon fiber hood and trunk.

Here's an EBAY link to the coilovers. Look nice, but it can also be cheaply made. Don't know for sure.

best response EV4R!! There is a TON of **** on h-t about ls/vtec.....it's pricey if done right...IMO just go ls/turbo!

for a nice change of appearance, I'd do a '98+ conversion (buy used **** here in h-t classifieds, you can do it for only a couple hund if you get lucky )
itr lip looks hawt, as do the OEM optional sideskirts, but the skirts are hard to come by these days, as Acura stopped making them, so anyone that's holdin' is gonna try to get a premium for them ....

.....Enough of ME babbling to you about what i'd do to YOUR car. It's YOUR car, do what YOU want, and don't let anyone influence you Welcome to h-t, y0
