Default Integra Engine Question

Hey, I'm new to Honda anything, usually I like chevies, fords, and toyotas. Interesting mix huh. Well I've resently come upon a late 90's Non-VTEC DOHC Integra engine at the garage I work at. The lady who's car it's out of ran it without oil and the cam seized. I figure I can get the journals remachined and have a nice condition integra motor, I think you guys can it a B18? I hope the stock cams aren't very good because I broke one, never drop a cam you want to keep on the ground . So my question is, what can I do with motor and how easy/cheap is it to get parts for it? And what kind of horse power is it capable of? How much can the stock internals hold? And what's the greatest limiting factor of the engine?

Thanks in advance.

George.

Let me just say, welcome, and try the classifieds forum for anything-i mean anything. However you might want to go to a Honda dealership for that imo anyway. Hope the repairs go good.

I'm thinking some performance cams, headers, intake manifold, and high compression pistons. Then take it and throw it in a POS late 80's civic and be a sleeper. I'll need an ecu though, all I have is the long block, no accessories or anything. How is the stock head flow, is it pretty good or am I gonna hafta port it.

well.....personally im a chevy guy..but anywho my one friend got an integra....he started with a stock engine...not sure what the horses are on it...but any way he put in some new hp cams, intake exhuast, proformance chip, intake sensor chip, new injectors, and he got it tuned more agresive ,,and he got it dyno'd and he boosted himself about 70-75 horses............and he bout the stuff off of ebay so it cost him about $500 for everything.....new exhaust was the most expensive , it was like 280 bucks .......so good luck with your engine and have fun tearin up the compitition.
