Default car wont start when warm

hey guys, my b16a1 90 EF has been having problems lately with starting after being parked in the sun all day @ work. It'll turn over just fine, just wont start. If my buddies and i push it into the shade and let it sit for a while itll fire back up, no problem.

any suggestions as to what this could be?

thanks,
karl

I know the relay's behind the coin tray, but do you have to remove part of the dash to get at it? Does the relay just plug in or is it wired.

I had that same problem, its the main relay. To get it out, you need to take the coin tray out (three phillips screws), then the main relay is attatched with one bolt (10 or 12mm) and a plug with 7 or so wires in it. Its a little tight in there, but you can get it out in a couple minutes.

I tried to fix mine before I bought a new one. I took the case off and re-soldered all the joints. You can tell which ones are bad because they have a little ridged ring around the solder. This worked for a couple weeks, but then started flaking out on me again. It was such a pain that I bought a new one and I've been trouble free ever since. Good luck.
