Testing an amp
I am going to buy a used amplifier. I don't plan to install the amp any time soon (i.e. not within the next four weeks cuz no time). How do I test an amp to make sure that it is fully functional? Thanks a bunch!

if you have somewhere where you can get 12 volts, a ground, 4 speakers and a signal generator. the signal generator can also be a stereo with rca plugs coming out of it. as long as you have the battery power, the ground, and 4 speaker leads to hook up to 4 speakers, you can test it. along with the rca outputs from some kind of stereo..............you could also just use one speaker, just go to each speaker output on the amp, and plut each one in individually. good luck.
