I got skunk2 coilovers too with some KYB Gas shocks set on 3 for stiffness. I love them! I didnt know how good my suspension was till a month ago coming back into town. i had been driving for 3 hours and was zoned out, i took an exit (that is in a elbow shape not a sharp turn like an L) at 65 mph and my car took it flawlessly. But anyways, i recommend them.

They would be goin on a da recomenations for shocks would b good too. thanks</TD></TR></TABLE>
only significant difference between the two, in regard to how they are going to perform is spring rate. The skunk2's are stiffer, however you can get custom spring rates from GC if you want.
Both brands are just simple sleeve type coilovers, choose on spring rate and price.

I've had skunk2s with KYB AGXs on my car for just over a year and they have been good to me. A little stiff though. I think it's 500lb-ft up front and 400 rear. I would probably go with a softer spring if I had to do it again.
skunk2 coilovers with tokico illuminas kick ***. Their are bouncy, but the right shocks will definitely fix most of that problem. Koni's are great if u have the money, but if ur on a budget illuminas will do well with s2 coilovers. They handle better than my friends teins ss coilover system.
i got a set of skunk2 coilover for cheap. Just took them out yesterday. I'm gonna take some pics of the rest of my stuff that i need to sell and make a post in couple of days so look out for it..
yah...buddy....tein ss is about 50 lb lower in the front and back. But those 50 lb make a differance. How ever i rather loose those 50 lb to gain some comfort then bouncy my *** all off my seat on the freeway.=p but since we're not compare s2 to tein, my experiences with gc were pretty good, they aren't as bouncy as s2 springs but they can handle too. My friend has gc custom spring rates (not sure the spec) paired up on yellow, damn very comparable to tein ss.
o yah...g2hom got a point there.. about the stock shocks....his own experience...lol

If you have Koni shocks, the newer Koni-specific GC's (no adapters) own the Skunk2's, no contest. The fit of the sleeves over the shocks and onto the snap ring is awesome, I love mine.

Skunks on tokico illuminas are ok. I felt they were a bit stiff so I just put the rear srpings in the front and the fronts in the rear. Set rears to setting 2 and fronts to setting 3. Felt pretty good.

i had my 10kg skunk2 springs on illuminas in the rear, and 8kg springs in the front.. felt prett bumpy, the back of my car was like super hard finger jello.
i switched to 10kg's F and 8's in the R, and it drives very nice. i dont think the set up is stiff at all. handles nicely with a 2" drop. illums in the R set to 5, fronts at 3-4. i use toyo t1-s tires stock sway bars, and rear strut bar only.
canot compare wth GC's ever had them

would skunk 2 coilovers be good for drag racing? what spring rate would be best for drag racing. i dont care about the ride. (only 1 seat in the car) haha. what shocks woudl also be good. i want good quality but without the super high price. ty

. I wanna get some new shocks but i'm not sure what to get. i see you guys saying illuminas so i might go with those
