How much you guys think I should try to get for these GSRs?
I'm looking to trade in my 02 Mazda Protege5 for a GSR 2dr coupe or if I can find a four door, that'll be even better.
2001 Black Acura Integra GSR 2 Door Hatchback $14,900
Has 34,412 miles
2000 Red Acura Integra GSR 2 Door Hatchback $13,990
Has 54, 291 miles
2000 Puprle Acura Integra GSR 2 Door Hatchback $12,995
Has 52,897
Here are some pics

I'm feeling the 2000 purple GSR, what you guys think?

I like that red alot, and cause im obsessed with a clean car without swirls and ****, id have to sport the red over the darker colors. If u cant talk that price down, save the G and go for the purple. Black is the last id pick. good luck
Get the Dark Violet Pearl, I just sold mine, in Cali, for $13k with the mods and all OEM parts with 49,500 miles. I always got compliments on it...
Purple is rare, but Im pretty sure it is one of those colors that screams "IM A GSR COME STEAL ME"
Might want to take attention off yourself and get red or black since the lower model integras come in that color as well

Most people, even on H-T, didn't know that the GS-R came in that color since it's so rare. I never had a problem with theft or break-in when I had the car, and I lived in hotbeds of car theft (Northern VA and So Cali). If you take off the VTEC badge I bet most people will think you are rolling a dark blue LS with optional spoiler and some GSR rims.
If you can get the purple one for around $12,000 out the door, and there has been no body work, mechanical problems, etc, I would jump on it.

I say get the Milano Red GSR just because im bias
Plus anyone that slapped clears on that purple one is a ricer
. Get papers/maintenance records and check out each car and see which one is in the best shape. I know they all have low miles, but you never know.

besides the gsr having a lot better looks, why do u want it?? ur protege outhandles a type r, stock for stock and also has more power than a gsr. i dont see why you would want to get rid of it.
but if u have to pick, go with the milano red, because i am bias. milano red is teh sex

I would get the DVP because it looks best and is rare but:
I had one it had 1 attempted theft.
My friend has one, it had an attempted theft before he purchased it, and one while he had it.
Only negative about the DVP.

The black one looks the cleanest imo. I know its the most expensive but ya...
The purple has clear bumper lenses so that tells you that someone planned on mod'ing it so Id stay away from that one.
Id take the red or black one depending on the records they have on it, warranties and things like that....
Just do your research and background checks (carfax; someone should be able to help you) and im sure youll find a nice one
BTW buy a private it one; not a dealership... they are trying to rape your virgin *******.

I wish I could buy a private one, I don't have all the money so I wanna finance and trade in my protege5.

LOL, since when does a Protege5 have more power then a GSR? Its a 2.0 DOHC 130HP and 130lbs of torque. Thats no where near a GSR and yes, it handles freaking awesome, but the lack or power is killing me.
Looking at the other pics, the DVP GSR has an exhaust and an aftermarket cd player. So I guess someone drove the **** out of it huh.. I dunno how the engine looks, doesn't have any pics for it.

I think you should get the purple one. Not very many people have them and they are so good looking. Why get a color that everybody has?
bleh.. doesn't mean it was driven to ****, don't rule it out completley. Mine had a greddy evo exhaust when i bought it, and massive amp/sub wiring. and a few switches here and there.. But all in all it runs like a champ, got it @ 103k, going on 118k. Its prolly gonna be hard finding a gsr or any integra at that matter that has never been modded before.

the protege can handle mods a lot better than a gsr. u will see gains a lot better due to its larger displacement than a gsr. the protege also, if u decided to go turbo, can hold boost very well. you have a very potent motor, you just don't know it.

Are we really comparing the aftermarket available for the B18C vS the protege? I thought the tranny was a weak point on the protege? Or is that just a rumor? Im guessing that a turbo gsr will out perform a turbo protege.

Dude, I know how my Protege5 will handle. I been going on the Mazda forum since I had it. I know all its capabilities and adding a turbo to an automatic protege5 will blow the tranny. I also know that the only thing to make a Protege5 fast is adding a turbo, and SINCE I have the auto-stick, I'm out of luck. If you don't believe, go the mazda forum http://www.msprotege.com and ask, they will tell you straight up. I know what my car can do and can't do, so don't say I don't know anything about this car. A turbo P5 runs high 14s and there's a guy that has a couple video of his red P5 running high 14s on a gt28r turbo.
Anyways, the red GSR I went to look at was very nice. Perfect condition but it did shake a little when I was braking at high speed. I don't think I"m gonna get this one though cause they would only give me 8Gs for my car so forget that. I'm gonna go look at the purple one tomorrow since its the next closest one to my house.

If I were you I would buy my 98 ls already done up for 12,000 flat has 82k miles but always run syntec castrol with lucas oil stabalizer and changed every 3 thow miles religously. Goto http://www.unsencoredimports.com goto rides mikes teg the only thing diffrent is I have 15in konig graphite holes now. It is going as is and 12k is the pay off so I am not making a dime.
