HAWK SP are kick ***. street, race, any time they are good. im using brembo blanks and stock rear drums and they are way more than i expected. they blow EBC green and red out of the water and they are not that dusty. can be picked up for 46 bux for the front at tirerack.com

I had project mu b-force break pads and aem brake pads, the aem lock up my tires too much. the project mu's were awesome. never had to slam on brakes, just modulate them, and it would haul down to slow speeds that it's rediculous. the aem may of worked better than they did without the stock tires on, but I was always getting flat spots with them on my 00si. All I changed with the project mu's were to Kumho tires, and the front pads. never fades, just bites harder. 35 for aem, and 89 for project mu b-force.

don't get ebc green's they blow at braking and their advertisement for minimal brake dust is full of crap, they put more brake dust on my wheels then my axxis ultimates.

i recommend axxis ultimates

I'll have to disagree with that, after warmed up their bite is pretty aggressive.

I'll agree with that one though.

I think you mean asbestos? They stoped using that stuff long ago, I think. Although there's always a warning about inhaling brake dust when servicing brake parts.

Everyone is always getting either Hawk SP, Axxis Ultimates or OEM.

I can't believe no one has said anything about Carbotec. They have awesome pads but they do dust a whole lot.

unless your going to the track/auto-x (or acting foolish on roads and going 105 in a 25 needing to stop for a little kid in the road) just stick with stock or close it. It'll save you money initially and more pad life.

OEM or HPS's

i havent seen anyone say much about the axis ultimates..... i use those at all 4 corners and they grab extremely well, though they do create a lot of dust.

Of the all pads that were mentioned here, are any of them not rotor friendly? I can vouch for EBC's as being rotor friendly...
