just wondering what u guys are using for your suspension setups. currently im planning to go with the Tein S-techs with Tokico Blues. Im buying a car with the S-techs already on with stock blown shocks. I'll probably get the Blues (new) from a friend for $100-$150 for all 4. Just wondering what's everyone else's setup and how much it costs.
id like to know, too. i just dropped my 01 gs on eibach sportlines and in the process found out that i have a bent strut. so, now i need to buy new struts. i dont want something cheap and dont need anything special or crazy. im just going for the look and a decent ride, not necessarily extreme handling n stuff. na'mean?
On my old car i ran GC's with kyb agx's and that was a good set up for me.
On my current set up I have Custom spring rate GCs on Koni yellows and let me tell you, Its too good lol. Also ive heard many bad things about the tokico blues but thats just hear say i guess. goodluck

I used to have H&R Sports/ KYB AGX, and I didn't really like it all.
Now I have Tein Type RE for an Integra Type R, with Type R lcas, and a Neuspeed 4 point upper strut. It is so nice and stiff. The car has almost no body roll now, and takes corners like a champ.

dont go with the blues ,go a lil better and get the illuminas,or kyb agx's at the least...
the blues cant handle most mild drops, and will blow prematurely, give u a shitty ride..

I run Tein SS, w/12kg front springs and 16kg rear springs (shock valving was also matched to the springs). Tein Pillow Ball uppers, Speedtech 22mm rear sway/tie bar combo, stock front 27mm sway bar, spoon sports front upper and lower tie bars, spoon sports rear upper tie bar, prothane bushing kit (soon to replace with pillow *****, and bearings) and a stitch welded chassis. Next mod will be an 8 point cage. Way too much for the street (not going to stop me though). I have almost no understeer, and on clover-leaf on/off ramps I have to be damn careful. Awsome solo 2 setup. Good street setup is standard 8kg/6kg Tein SS. Most importantly, look for good tires. Oh yeah, this is on my 94 Db8 gs-r

No, the s-techs are springs. The SS are full coilovers.

My buddy has a GSR with the exact setup that Im gonna go. I got the chance to drive his car, its is seriously the best handling car that Ive ever driven.
His setup:
TEIN Flex
Suspension Techniques Sway Bars (front and rear)
Carbing Front Upper 3-Point Strut Bar
Spoon Front Lower Tie Bar
Spoon Rear Lower Tie Bar
Spoon Rear Upper Tie Bar
Alex C-Pillar Bar
Some sort of Camber Kit
He has wheels with good rubber and a Quaiffe LSD to really finish off the suspension/handling of his car.

Tein basic coilover/dampers. They don't have any damper control but you get the adjustable ride height. But it depends on your needs, mine's a daily driver so I don't need all that control. For the money go with Tein: you get an awesome ride, great quality, the springs and dampers were made to work together and they come with the boots to protect from dust.

Eibach Sportlines
Had them before the Ground Controls. They made the car sag unevenly and felt loose and weak while driving hard.
The Ground Controls completely blow the Sportlines out of the water as feel as feel, performance, and looks.

I have H&R OE Springs w/ KYB AGX and a lower rear tie bar. I like my setup cause it's just low enough for me and I love that I can pull into almost anywhere without scraping the bottom of my car.
