Default Stock-ish looking door lock switch to mount on center console?

I received my RS door handle trim pieces today so I can get rid of the power lock switches on the door panel. I'd like to find some kind of rocker switch to mount on the center console to control the door locks from inside, but I'd like for it to look at least somewhat stock. Has anybody seen anything that might work?

Try going to Radio Shack.....seriously. They have a huge selection of switches. Some look very nice. If you don't see any there, take a look at their catalogue, they have millions of them in there, which can be ordered.

Switch + dremel = OEM looking part

Otherwise, I don't know where you're located, but there's this place near me called IEI (Interstate Electronics Inc.). It's a relatively big electronics store (more like a warehouse type store) that has a bunch of switches too.

Try your local stereo install shop and see what they have too.

^^^^

i also suggest you check out radio shack or some other electronics store.

last time i was looking for switches (not for car) and specifically remember that a couple looked good enough for the center console with an RS door handle conversion.

i've considered doing the rs door handle swap as well, and the only thing that kept me from it was that i wanted the door lock switch to look good in the center console as you are sayin now. I actually went around to a couple dealerships and checked out cars to see what cars had switches that looked like they would fit, and weren't coupled with other switches. Integobsession and i found one that we liked and it was from the older gen Mercedes SL500.

I know, i know, it sounds hella expensive already doesnt it? hehe... well list price for the part is 28.75. Not bad huh? I never got around to doing this mod but i actually still have the slip the parts dood at MB printed me out of the part #.

Part #: 124-821-50-51
Desc: SWITCH
List: 28.75

I got this info from the parts dept guy at the Mercedes Benz dealership in Riverside, where we saw the switch in the car. It is if i recall correctly, a lighted switch with a little picture on it and is black and looks to be pretty damn close in size to the little holes we have in our armrest consoles.

What do ya think pat?

hth
Eric.

PS You are referring to the pwr door lock switch rite? not the window switch. Ur title is misleading.
