Default 2.5 inch exhaust flange help

i just recieved my 2.5 inch flange and 2.5 inch donut from JHPusa
but it does not look like the one that they advertise on their site.
the donut does not mate up to the flange.
this is what it supose to look like, but the one that i have looks nothing like it.



who else's flange does not look like the one that they have on their site

The flange needs to be put on, the pipe flared to fit the donut, then assembled.

the ones i have fit the OEM doughnut gasket...and uses stock oem hardware

im assuming this is how everything should fit.

the donut is the BLACK BLOB up top.
and the other diagram that i drew is for the cat/testpipe.
am i correct with the drawing?

apparently from what i was sent, looks nothing like the flanges that are in this thread.

the part where the gasket should sit is not recessed in. Rather its raised and the gasket does not fit into it.

if i had a camera available it would be a lot easier to explain what i have in my hand.

the way you illustrated that makes perfect sense...maybe a bad design ??? i know the ones i have work nice...and the doughnut fits in there nicely

problem is that when i got it, i didnt have my header to match everything up.
and now i was reading the reciept, and it states that for exchanges have to be made w/in 14 days of the purchase. and when i found out that they sent me the wrong piece, its already too late.
anyways ill call them sand see what they can do
