My car won't start in the sun, wtf?
I have been battling oil soaked plugs for the past few weeks and the car starts up most times, but lately it just isn't going. However I have noticed it will start when it has not been in the SoCal heat for a while. Like today, I absolutely couldn't start it in the afternoon, but once the shade got ahold of my car, it started right up. I am pissed and I can't wait to get my valve cover and spark plug gasket kit.
So any validity with my sun claim?

holy hell in a hand bag....USE THE SEARCH BUTTON! this is a pretty common problem...in fact.....i think there is a thread or two on this page about it! do a search on the 'main relay'...that could very well be your culprit.
also...have you replaced your lower spark plug seals? that could be the reason why you have oil on your plugs...
