hey i have a 96 teg wit header cat back and gutted cat and intake...but the question is when im driving and i shift like lets say 1 - 2 the blow off sorta high ping noise hits...and im like thats weird lol...but the it does it in most of my gears ....its done this for a while but it got a lil bit louder i think after i got my greddy headers....and ideas of what it could be...i mean it does bother me but i just wanna know

 

have you ever had your valves adjusted?

 

are you talking about from the blow-off valve or a noise that sounds like a blow-off?

 

sounds like blow off valve...im thinkin i might just need a valve adj. but it only when i sift ...but it could be that...i would think it would be more constant though

 

bad ignition timing, bad distributor, bad vacume leak, or perhaps some falty egr.

 

ur running with a gutted cat if i remember right? its probably some bad egr.

 

a bad egr would send an check engine!
