Default Painting Emblems

Has anyone tried this? I just ordered paint for my side skirts, and was thinking about painting the emblems as well. Anyone have instructions on how to do this? Does it come out good, or is it a waste of time? I did a search, but didn't find much. I just think it would give the car a cleaner look. Opinions and info would be appreciated.
