Default unheard of electrical problem

I have a 98 Accord EX that I bought Honda Certified less than 2 years ago. Last week I had the keys in my pocket and was getting something out of the trunk and the car cranked on its own. It sounds weird and 3 different Honda dealerships laughed at me and said it's not possible - but it happened! Several times it has also been parked and locked and when I come outside the parking lights are on and the dash lights are on, it won't unlock with the remote and it won't start the first time with the key. I've had it checked for this in the past but they say they can't do anything unless it happens in the shop. Has anyone heard of these problems before???
Thanks!

Pretty unusual, but they're known for flaky ignition switches. Most of the time that means the ignition circuit goes open, but maybe yours closes the starter circuit??

I'd call an exorcist. Seriously, I have no clue what could cause that.

The only way this can happen is that a circuit, which is protected by a switch, completes itself. Like JimBlake said, perhaps the ignition switch is faulty...
