So is getting an exhaust system without a header even worth it. I mean sure youll open the airflow up more. But youll still be constricted at the head. So what im wondering is it worth the 300+ dollars to get exhaust if a header is not purchased to compliment it?

its not pointless to get and exhaust w/o and aftermarket header, but its gonna net you less power (some say any bolt on is pointless w/o turbo/build). header w/ 2.5" collector, and 2.5" cat/test pipe to 2.5" catback will net you most power, but remember, it wont be alot

ok so maybe the better question is, is 700 dollar plus a more obnoxious sound worth it at all. So are you saying header and exhaust only gives you like 10 hp?
If so i dont think thats worth the upgrade.

Mods to a given car work together.. That same exhaust will make bigger gains once you install the header and intake. And those will all make bigger gains when you get headwork and new cams. and those will give better gains when you up the CR...... well, then there is turbo. On big turbo setups, just increasing the DP and exhaust can net 50hp.
So get used to the fact that on your particular car stock, your bolt-ons will net you about 1hp for every 100 you spend. Gotta pay to play.
