Anyone know what number R I have?
I recently purchased a 98 R that was a theft recovery. A lot of things were missing from the car when I got it, including the armrest with the badge. I would really like to know what number this car is, if anyone knows anything about it.
Here's the info I have on the car:
1.The last name of the previous owner was Clark
2.The owner was a student or faculty member @ Rutgers Univ. judging by the parking decals
3.The car was supposedly last titled in PA.
4.It had a bra installed on it at some point
5.Had around 50k miles when stolen
6.Car was completely stock when I got it.
7.It had the left headlight replaced under warranty in april 2000
8.vin # is JH4DC2314WS002192
If anyone has a clue about this car, please let me know. Thanks.

i think you have to call honda of america, they will then go back to the factory to find it. i remember type goch or someone bought the car used and didn't know the number of it, and he called and got the number.
that's my best guess for you.

Dude don't even try... I spent about a week trying to find out which # mine was w/ Acura USA and they said that they don't document them... so basically once they stick the plate on on the factory there is no reference to that plate #. They will tell you the production #, but it is not the same as the little plate # on the center console.
thats my motor I want it back, Insurance didnt pay out because of some technicality - please contact by e-mail me for shipping instructions.
just kidding

Thanks for the info guys. I would contact the previous owner but I only have the last name. I was just hoping I would get lucky and find someone who knew this car b/c the instrument cluster was one of the items stolen so I don't know exactly what the true mileage is. I'm not that worried about it but I figured it was worth a shot.
