Default CF prject I part2

if you all remember. i started to make some parts out of cf.. my first project was a antenna block off plate for the EFs..i have been messing with several materials so here goes the pics:

You should use different screws and it would probably look better. Maybe something like the one of these first 3 types: http://www.boltdepot.com/socket-products.aspx Just countersink them so they sit flush. You can usually find these machine screws in black too....so that way they won't stand out as much.

trust me i tried.. but the stock screws are some sort of "torque special screws" (forgot the actual name) meanin that at the beginnig of the threads its smaller and it gets bigger as it moves up.. and i havent been able to find screws like that

yeah i know.. i was excited to use some button socket head bolts.. but they wont screw in right.. sucks

cant you counter bore it a bit so the head isnt sticking out?

not really.. since i would get into the fibers.. and it wouldnt look ok.. that would requier making another mold with the holes for the screws..

yeah i was thinkin about that.. i just did a quick test on how it would fit..

might even try to machine some socket head bolts to see if they would work with it

like i explained the guy above you... something its not just worth what it cost to make it.. that really doesnt even make any sense.. but anyways

if people are interested.. i will be willing to make some.. tho im not going to charge just "what it cost me to make it" ( meaning just materials) takes time and labor to work with cf
