2003 K20 JDM ITR vs 2003 K24
Would the head from a 2003-2004 K20 type-r accord fit onto a K24 Accord engine? Or would it not be compatible because of the differene in displacement?
Also, if I interchanged the ECU from the Accord type-r in Japan with my own accord's chip, would I need to make further adjustments? What would they be?
Just curious to see if anyone knows
Thanks

head should swap on fine.....being that every other honda series has interchangeable parts (not to mentio all the accors-series interchangeability)
Really? Cool. Thanks
What about the ECU from the current JDM Accord type-r? Would that be screwed up from the change in displ.?

if ur gonna change out the head to a k20 then you will need a k20 ecu...
but i dont think there are 03-04 k20 ACCORD type-r's...? all the new accords are all k24 (i4) or j30's (v6)...
i don't see why you would to change out the head for another accord head... most ppl change it out for a rsx type-s head (k20a2)

I believe you're going to run into a problem with the tops of the pistons on the Accord K24. The combustion chamber on the K24A4 engine is larger and I believe the piston protrudes into the head. You can bolt a CRV K24A1 block to an Accord Euro R (or RSX/Integra Type S/R) head.

You'll need to do some wiring changes to the Accord and use an RSX /CRV/Civic Si ECU modified by Hondata. This may cause some problems with some other systems on your car.
