I was driving my car. I just finished spraying my rims and I didnt drive the car for 2 days. Anyway today I drive it and after first gear whatever gear I put it into that shifter shakes back side to side. I cant even control it. The whole car would shake too. It was almost like the car was shaking from side to side as well as the shifter. I was shittin bricks cuz I didnt know what was going on so I drove to the nearest shop. I left it there for an hour and the guy test drove it and comes back to tell me nothing was happening and that it was ok. I didnt believe him but when I got in my car and started to drive away nothing hapened. Wtf was going on? Anybody ever had this problem before?

no codes. It never did this before. I drive through the same street like a million times and this never happened. It almost felt like someone was under the car shaking the linkage or something but that doesnt explain the whole car vibrating at the same time the shifter was...

 

check your bolt in the shift linkage and see if its broken or loose and try to tighten it and see if that helps, best info i can give

 

if you pulled your wheels to paint them...make sure all the lugnuts are tightend.
Sounds stupid but 2 of mine came loose and the slightest wiggle room can make a HUGE difference.

 

I know they are tight cuz I triple checked them.

maybe your tires need to be balanced? did you put the wheels on in the same sequence?

 

This might sound weird but check your axles. my right axle went out 4mo ago and never once showed any sighns of popping or anything when I would turn. I was driving about 1 week before it went out and all the sudden the whole car started to rock and the steering pulled hard to the right for about 4 seconds then it stopped. It happend about 4 more times after that and I still had no idea until snap the whole axle broke with no warning besides the sudden walble and pulling kind of like what you sayed.

damn... so what should I look for in the axles? Could it have failed internally(inside the boot)?? Maybe its starting to fail but how do I know which one to change?
