18 Ft trailer with 2ft dove tail = 20 ft total length?
....or is it 16 ft of flat bed with 2ft dove tail added on? Is there a standard convention and which way is it? ...Or does is depend on who's selling it and the buyer has to ask every time if a 18ft trail is actually 18ft flat bed or 16ft flat bed.

if they say 18' trailer, they are typically talking about the entire length of the 'deck'. in this case, that would mean 16' flat with 2' of tail.

ok, that's what I thought but was not sure. I guess asking every time is the way to go just to make sure.
