i just bought a cf hood off my friend for reallly really cheap. the reasone being is there is a crack in the hood in the middle. the only thing i can think of to fix it is to maybe get some of the carbon fiber vinyl and maybe put a patch on it hopin it wont be too obvious... any other ideas?

ok, heres the pics before i wetsanded it with 2000 grit sandpaper. there was overspray all over the hood from it being in his garage for over a year. this is the best i could get the pics to come out.

now for a new question, now that ive wetsanded the hood and its all "cloudy" lookin now, do i gotta buff that out or...what do i do next? a body shop gave me vauge directions...

after you wetsand, just take some 3M rubbing compund and buff it out to get rid of all the sanding marks...after that, lay down some wax and you should be good to go...
....i just did this last night on my overly oxidized hood...as for that crack, i dont know what to tell you
