Mystery Cams - Please Help Identify
I ahd these cams in a B16A. Previous owner said they were Crower, but I later found out that theyw ere not because they were not engraved with teh "CROWER" stamp. so i started to wodner what cams they were, cause my vtec alawys engaged oddly, louder then any other VTEC engine I've heard and it did seem to be a strogner B16 then some stock ones. So I started taking a look at pcis off sites. here are pics so you can udnerstand how tot ell the differences between stock honda cams by the grooves and rings here:

Now after looking at all these cams... here are my cams.

now comparing my cams with all the pics my exhaust cam looks jsut like the 92-93 GSR exhaust cam. BUT the itnake cam doesn't match the GSR intake cam. and I know both cams I ahve are a matching pair. bbecasue the ends of thema er engraved with something. it says: -M-1381- then a weird sguiggly thing on the other side I cannot makeout... as far as I know. stock honda cams do not stamp their cams with anything like that. So to rule out. theya re NOT stock honda cams, and they are not Crower cams. Looking at the cams comapring to another set of stock B16 these VTEC loves are definantly larger then of stock b16 and almsot equivalent to ITR.
EDIT: Okay I think I found out what they are. they seem tob e REGRINDS. because on the vetc lobses. it looks like there is another layer of metal added onto the casting where as the other stock cams I have, are 1 fueull peice of metal for the vetc lobe, these weird cams hae like, a second layer of emtal that you can clearly see. so maybe that M1381 is the regrind Mill then. Maybe Colt regrinds?
