'euro' console? DA seats?
hi,
i have a friend with an ef hatch, and i wanted to find something cool for his car for a present. under that 'show your car' thread i saw someone had a 'euro' console, where theres like an extra cubby hole. anyone know where to get one of these?
also, what kind of seats can you swap in an ef without making custom seat rails/drilling new holes? ive put 90' crx Si seats in an 89 dx hatch and it was a pain in the ***. is there any seats that are commonly used besides stock? DA integra seats?
any answers would be appreciated.

He's talking about the EDM consople that goes beneath the ashtray and lighter and goes to the floor. I think it was only available on the EDM CRX. Maybe the civic too. I saw a pic on this site somewhere.
The console you are looking for is from EDM Civics (not sure what trim), and from the Canadian SE (this was also available in Japan on some models, but since JDM cars are RHD, the fit in LHD cars is backward and looks really goofy. I got mine from a Canadian. As far as I know the console with the cubby hole was not available in the US. The only optional console was the audio accessory console which had a double opening for the stereo and optional piece like the equalizer or CD player. Check ebay, they have them sometimes, but since they are rare, you will likely spend $100+ on it.
As for seats, I had a friend that swapped 92 Civic seats into a 91 DX hatchback and everything lined up except one bolt. If you decide to try this, make sure you pull seats from a hatchback EG, not a coupe or sedan (they do not fit the same). Other than that, I have heard of NO other seat swap without mods. I would like to put blue DA Integra seats in my hatch, but I don't have the time to mod rails.

You're kind of a dick. Maybe The Netherlands isn't the center of the EDM.
Here's the thread w/ a pic. Jerk-off.

Yes I am a dick about this. Maybe because of all the BS floating around that keeps being fed like threads like this.
And just FYI, that's not a specific EDM console. I'm not making this **** up. Honda has nice CD's where all the parts etc are on with schemes and everything. I've seen this thing on Jap cars as well, and UKDM also.

Perhaps it's not specifically an EDM product. Don't be so damn literal. It's not a USDM available part. The JDM ones are RHD they don't match USDM consoles.

Try Canada. I believe they got them too. They received more of the so-called EDM parts.
It's just an optional part that was more widely available then you'd think. It's not like you strike gold or something. And I think you should be atleast a bit literate about this. The EDM/JDM terms are being flung around like mad. How are we supposed to make heads or tails of anything if we're not specific?
