Gutting the door question

So, it's time to do some cutting in preparation for the roll cage, and I'm looking for a bit clearer interpretation of both the ITCS/GCR rules, and NASA/HC rules, as they concern gutting the doors.
I'm planning for NASCAR door bars on the driver side. The ITCS says you can modify, but not eliminate the interior sheet metal panel on the door. I believe I have seen cars with the entire panel cut out. Does it depend on exactly how your NASCAR bars run? I would like to cut the whole thing out, remove the window, window mechanism, interior door latch, and everything else on the inside, leaving the side impact beam connected to the outer skin. Is this okay, per both sets of rules, or do I have to leave everything above the topmost door bar intact?
Passenger side, I'm planning on going with the standard X-brace. I'm assuming that I can remove the interior trim, window, window mechanism, interior door latch, but I think I have to leave the entire interior sheet metal door panel intact. Is this correct?
I'm afraid of taking too much out, going to tech, and finding out I did it wrong and having to buy new doors. Thanks for the help.

NASA and SCCA are DIFFERENT in their definition of NASCAR bars and gutting of the door.
Their is a thread I started "I'm bored so let's tech a roll cage" has the differences laid out.

In SCCA IT you can replace the door card with aluminum but I've never seen any allowance that gives you the option of removing any of the guts. I don't have my ITCS so I can't actually review it but there you go...
