Fuel Pump
I have a 91 Accord and I can't get it to start. The main relay is ok, I'm thinking about if it is the fuel pump. My dad put the gauge on it today and he said that it is 6 PSI lower then what Chiltons says it's supposed to be at. Would that be enough to mess up the starting of the car? Sometimes the car starts and sometimes it doesn't. Thanks for the info.
You might want to see if you can hook up the gauge upstream of the filter. A good pump with a plugged filter can result in low pressure at the rail. Or a bad FPR, too.
I would expect a bad fuel pump to simply stop running altogether. I guess anything's possible, but I'd look for simpler things first.
