I am wanting to fit a 1.6 vtec engine in my mini.Which one is the best one and how can i identify it.Also are there diferent gearboxes that will fit on to the 1.6 engine with different ratios and diff ratios. trying to find the best ratio because it will be run on 10 inch wheels.

 

You likely want a obd0 gen 1 b16a. Thats the cheapest, and the easiest for an old car such as that. As far as a tranny, you need cable, right? All the jdm b16a trannies are very close ratio in general. Ryan

The b16a (160hp) with the hydro trannys are more expensive, just browse that site and pick your engine!!
