You can pull out the ecu fuse in the fuse box

yea, someone once told me that resetting the ECU basically reconfigures all of your driving habits recorded by the car, back to what it was at default...is there any truth in that?

the ecu has a small learning curve (in auto's the tcu does this as well) where the driving style is considered in the fuel maps and timing maps...it's not a very big change, but there is a small amount...by resetting the ecu, it relearns your current setup by checking all the sensors...when it sees more air from an aftermarket intake, it adjusts the fuel accordingly...it would do the same eventually, but resetting the ecu makes the change instantaneous instead of waiting for the change to happen over a period of time...

you think that if i have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, this would make a difference to how the ECU blueprints out the fuel maps and timing curves?

oh, does it do harm to run the pressure regulator at max?
