What is the difference pr3 & pw0, which is better?
I was just wondering what the differences between the pr3 and pw0 ecu. Are they interchangeable? Are all the pins the same as far as wiring? Is one better?
I got a pr3 on my hatch and for some reason the car has a rev limiter of 7200 rpm what is up with this ecu.....Vtec is popping so it is not cause of no vtec....does it when the car is cold and warm.....oil is 5w-30sae....everything is normal when I put my friends ecu in another pr3 it went all the way up 2 8200rpm the ec uis not going into limp mode and the car throws no codes
you may have a auto tranny ecu, you need to take the front cover off and see if you have a mt or at stamp on the vtec pib board. i have this same problem with mine and it turned out to be an autotranny ecu.
mt=manual tranny
at=auto tranny
as far as pr3 v pw0, they are pretty much the same ecu it is just said that the pr3 has a slightly more aggressive then the pw0. not to sure on this though.
also just like as stated the pr3 does have more chip options.
both wire up the same and both are good ecu's to have
