tell me why....
why does my engine whistle like it has a BOV after installing an skunk2 Im and Jdm ITR header? its proabably normal but i want to get the technical reason if any.... thanks.
I would agree with a gasket fault or if you have a C.A. intake it could be breathing a little better causing more whistle through your cone filter? or something
after i put my skunk2 intake manifold on my car whistles at like 1/4 throttle, but that is also from the cai and tb spacer. It's only when i'm on the gas too, provide more info and i'm sure you'll get a clearer answer.
Mine began to do that after i installed my skunk 2 IM and it was my intake filter breathing a little better. Pop the hood and have a freind rev the engine you should be able to hear it. Hopefully thats what it is.

k
it could be a vaccumm leak.
shooting in the dark but, do you have any amplifiers or anything like that? cuz i know some people get a whining/whinding noise if not grounded properly..
like i said, shooting in the dark, throwin out ideas.. not exactly sure tho

probably the intake/ throttlebody butterfly making the whistling, especially if, like newgsriver said, the idle is solid and your vacuum is normal
I noticed a slight whistling noise when i installed my intake manifold. I figured it was probably from letting the engine breath better, and from chaning to a single runner intake manifold. I am sure it is fine.
It definitley sounds like its the intake/ throttlebody butterfly making the whistling so I wouldn't really worry about it to much since your idle is stable. But if your really **** about stuff like that what you could do is just get a spray bottle filled with really soapy water and spray some generously along the intake, tb and around the intake manifold to see if you see and bubbling where air is being sucked in where its not suppose to be sucked in. Don't be a fool and spray directly into the tb or the filter or anything like that with soapy water cause that will just case more problems. Good luck and I don't think you have anything to worry about

i did change the gasket to oem gaskets and bought new studs. and it only happens when i slightly step it but when i crusie at a certain speed it wont do it.
