Hi, I'm new, I did a search but could not quite find the info I need.
I have a manual 95 si with stock D16Z6 head. My friend just gave me an Edelbrock D16Y8 manifold, I am hoping to gain a few hp by putting it in.
1. Do I need to buy any extra parts to complete the swap?
2. What is the physical difference between the Z6 mani and the Y8 mani, do I need to alter the new Y8 mani before I put it on, or alter the Z6 head, in order to make them compatible? What about the throttle body?
I understand this is quite a common swap but I would like some more information/advice before I try this. Any help appreciated. Thanks!!
